Well done to all the under 15's players for their football yesterday. We deserved at least a point and possibly all three. Scott and Conor were superb. Great goal from the Big Man Ryan C who leapt like a salmon and got enough on the ball for the goal. Well played too Luke in goal - he made two or three important saves. A good start to the season and great to see so many of you upping your game this season. Nice to see Kieran, George and Ashley supporting the Team on the line too.

Firstly well played the under 14's yesterday against Aveley. You're looking good. Great to see the Aveley chairman there and also Big Dave Harris and CJ.

So Liveinthepast got lucky on Sunday when Referee and lifetime Liveinthepast fan Mr Riley sent of Frank Lampard for being fouled by Alonso. Fortunately, as they now only have three strikers after making an £8Million loss by selling Keane, I anticipate that when Torres gets injured Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and possibly even Rottenham Hotspur should catch Liveinthepast and overtake them in the Premier League.

Shame the U13's didn't get to play again this weekend although it's good that they have gone through to the next round. Well us Keillers still stood out in the cold all day but we were warmed by Adams team reaching the final with E.T.U.FC of the league cup. So heres a thought last season Adam brought hope a league winners medal and Matt a Cup winning trophy, so lets hope their fortunes are reversed this season, but it could be even better if we are able to get to two Cup Finals with both the boys. As long as they're not the same day!!!
| Steve | 01 February 2009 15:17:07 |
Unlucky today 14's - it was a game of not many chances and we played better when we passed the ball a la two touch in training. Well played Luke, George H (still never conceded at Nutberry!) George S, Kieran, Tom, Ash and Conor in particular.

14's - tremendous result and fantastic performance in which you played some great football despite the conditions. We are developing well as a team and showed this against Thurrock B who are a quality side. Great to see our new set piece coming up trumps so early with Sean's goal from Tom's cross, great to see Cole the goal get on the score sheet after his work in the game; quality ball in from Freddie. And what about Snail's finish to end that great move down the right eh? Great stuff lads - you're all playing a big part, let's keep it up!

| Credit Crunch hits Japan | 15 October 2008 12:56:12 |
Following the credit crunch problems in America and the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan. In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches. Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. While Samurai Bank are soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank are reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black. Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.

We understand some of you may use the roundabout near Sainsbury's/Lakeside Football Ground. Please beware of a small lime green vehicle which has been seen circling the roundabout and being driven in an erratic manner. Three occupants, one believed to be wearing Orient FC attire (we suspect this one to be mad and should not be approached), a woman driver with a vacant stare and a hippy passenger with overly grown hair in the rear of the vehicle, were seen laughing manically as they orbited the roundabout at speed yesterday afternoon. All units have been alerted.

Well played the under 14's yesterday, if we play like that this season we'll be fine. Mr Berry you were awesome but each and every one of you putting in an outstanding performance. To hear the Elmwood Colts (last years County Cup Finalists) Manager say "You have a great Team there" at the end of the game, was testiment to your magnificent efforts. On the train to work this morning though, I still could not believe how we did not go in at half time at least 3-0 up! Still, that's footie and we can take a lot out of the game. Well done to each and every one of you. You did yourselves proud.

Well done U14's for a great win today. Although it was only a friendly, you played a very good team and made them look ordinary. Your passing, talking and desire to win was excellent. One or two midfielders need to work on their fitness, apart from that, it was an excellent display. What a goal by Samson ~ remember you can't cut your flowing locks until we lose and if we keep playing like we did today you might soon end up being called Rapunzel!!!

What a fantastic day Saturday turned out to be. Big thanks to Pete Mole for helping bring the whole thing together (and for the oven repair advice - working nicely again now mate!). Steve as ever did a great job on organising the footie, we made a few quid for the club and saw the season out in style.

GREAT FINALE TO END A GREAT SEASON FOR BOTH KIDS AND PARENTS. BY THE WAY IVE CRACKED A RIB WITH MY OVERHEAD BRUCE LEE KICK.
| West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal & England Scout | 07 July 2008 17:33:14 |
I was watching from behind the club house and saw some great skills! I will be contacting some of you over the coming weeks. During one of the matches I noticed a big fat elephant trying to do an overhead somersaulting kick and land on his side (DID NOT SCORE). I will not be signing a fat elephant at West Ham, now he has a broken Rib!!!!!!!
| Colin | 07 July 2008 13:59:29 |
What a great day sat thanks all we had a lot of fun.
| Mary | 06 July 2008 22:23:05 |
What a brilliant day!!! World Cup '08 was a great success thanks to the excellent organisation of the committee, and the behaviour and attitude of all the boys. Lakeside is the perfect location - where else could you spend a whole day (and night!) in exclusive extensive grounds, where the children can play safely and have the excellent facilities provided by Mark and Linda?? Worth every penny!!! As for the rounders game...... I am in agony, but would do it all again. In fact, how about relay races, sack races, three legged races etc for next year?? I'm planning already! (PS: Here's a question: What has the Bouncy Castle Company we used and Julia Hards got in common?)

| Steve Julia and George | 27 May 2008 12:39:10 |
What a great tour! On the pitch we competed against 2 County Champions, saved our best game til last and the boys did their Club proud. Well done lads - you were magnificent! Off the pitch we all had some great laughs; from Satnav Grant Seaman using the force to get to Hemsby, from "gyno" to "the gimp", TIMMEHHY!!!, Me convincing Debbie that the under 15's were very tall under 12's and Debbie saying she would ensure Dave checked their cards, Mr Bodimeade's banter, Everyone getting burned on Saturday and soaked on Sunday, Deano getting absolutely plastered then mistaking his hand for bread and putting it in the toaster at 2 am, Lee "I didn't start nothing...it was him", Kelly Ann's wellies and hats - the latter worn by Jason and Lee (we have the photos),Terry the Russian linesman, Sandra carrying three times her weight in kit and equipment, Sue bringing over the foreign Manager for me to meet "Transportah" and "Playerz like" indeed, Mark walking on stage to shake hands with Paul Walsh in the middle of the presentation and yesterday bringing his chalet key home "I didn't know what to do with it?!!!", our chant of "Is that all you take away?!!" to other teams while the banter was friendly in the Presentation Hall. I could go on and will do in the Newsletter.
| David Fox | 27 May 2008 11:42:52 |
What a fantastic weekend we all had in Hemsby! The boys were all superb, they competed well in the matches against some good teams and they behaved brilliantly for the whole weekend.

Well done to everyone on Tour at Hemsby, this weekend. The Wells' all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, largely due to the excellent company we kept all weekend. A special thanks to Dave for arranging the tour, especially in light of the fact that you had to change venues, how stressful was that for you? Let's hope we tour again next year, Europe we hear? Finally, we are now looking forward to the end of season Presentation on 14th June and Fun Day on July 5th ~ see you all again soon!

The NHS were today forced to make a statement following concerns about Mr Bodimeade's hip injury sustained at Dad's footie last night. The statement reads "We the NHS are seriously concerned at Mr Bodimeade's decision to continue to play football after his hip injury last night. Mr Bodimeade has been advised that if he continues to play he is at serious risk. This is because we cannot find a replacement hip big enough to cover his seriously overly ample, lardy rear end" Mr Bodimeade was unvailable for comment after last being seen in Steve Hill's back pocket from 8pm to 9.30pm on Thursday evening.

| Steve | 27 April 2008 21:16:11 |
Under 13's - great performance today lads. I want to say that it has been a pleasure coaching you this season, I am sure Paul will agree, and watching you develop as individuals and collectively as a Team over the years has been fantastic. At the start of the season we never dreamed we would be challenging for the promotion, let alone battling for the title especially after Ashley and Nick moved on, However we have replaced them with quality players in Robert and Sean and we are now a team to be taken seriously. Look at your fantastic record - 13 wins 2 draws and only 3 defeats and two more games to go - let's try to win those, secure runners up and then try and bring a trophy back from tour.
| Steve and George | 27 April 2008 21:07:20 |
Congratulations to the under 12's for their great result today and getting into your second final this season - quality lads - well done!

Well done again to the boys for making it through to another final, excellent game.
| Robert Cole | 27 April 2008 15:55:12 |
This season, i have made some mistakes, like the penalty miss, and who was the first person to mention it? Conner! Now look who's made the mistake, red card!!! haha! Well played lads, nearly promoted!
| David Fox | 26 April 2008 16:51:26 |
Good luck to both teams against Essex Royals tomorrow.
| The Wombles | 25 April 2008 16:52:35 |

u12s - absolutely brilliant performance today. You played as a team and worked hard for each other. To make it through to 3 semi finals in 2 seasons is a fantastic achievement in its own right but let's carry on playing our football, enjoy the games and see what happens

| David Joynes | 10 April 2008 21:54:10 |
Thank you all at Thames for the card and letter, i am missing the Thursday night football badly, but in the end i had to listen to the advice from the experts. I will check the diary, and let Dave know about the final. I am sure the boys will give it 110 %, and whatever the outcome, enjoy the day, be proud that you were in the final, and the fact you have had another fantastic season.
| David Fox | 05 April 2008 12:11:33 |
Good luck to the u13s this weekend. Great result last week and it would be brilliant to get another win this week.
| Sky Sports Breaking News - | 03 April 2008 18:17:04 |
Steve Hill is reported to be making his long awaited comeback at Dad's Footie this evening. A source close to the Hill camp told us "the big fella has been on an intense training regime and will probably give Mileage a run for his money tonight. He has eaten more pasta than a coach load of Italians and is primed and ready to strike!".

U12s - unlucky on Sunday, we were experimenting and we didnt turn up for the first half. Second half was much better, especially as we played for 10 mins with only 10 men due to Kews' injury. Heads up!!
| Steve | 31 March 2008 20:57:50 |
Well played all the 13's this week, great performance against a very good side. Quality result. Keep it up lads!
| Paul | 30 March 2008 20:00:49 |
Well done U13's, back to winning ways! I was really pleased with the effort and some of the football you played today V's Devil Warriors. 4 games to go ~ the league title is still in our hands!!! Let's go for 3 more points next week v Brandon Groves.

| Belhus Park Police | 17 March 2008 20:14:49 |
We would like to point out that whoever told Colin Bodimeade that John O'Shea nicked his wallet yesterday was well out of order. Mr Bodimeade chased Mr O'Shea around Belhus for the full one mile course before being advised of the cruel prank.

u13s - unlucky! I saw your goal and hoped it would lead to a win but with the wind and the rain it was a difficult day for football. Keep working hard in training and stick together. This is when you need a strong team spirit, and you have that!
| Tracy O'Shea | 17 March 2008 09:51:27 |
Well done to John (Mileage) O'Shea, Kieran (Mini Mileage) O'Shea, Colin (The Bodi) Bodimead who ran the Sport Relief mille at Belhus on Sunday Morning.

How good is Scholsey (Sean B) his website post was at 11.37 am this morning, while he was playing in our training match at the end of our training session this morning! Talk about multi tasking!!
| David Fox | 14 March 2008 20:58:03 |
Good luck to both teams on Sunday. We could both do with a win after our last match so let's see if we can get another win double. Most important - ENJOY the game everybody!!

| The Moles | 10 March 2008 16:02:42 |
U12's...........It was going to happen one day! You can all be proud of yourselves the way you took the defeat, any team in the world would be proud of not losing a game for over a year! You are still very capable of winning the league, are in a cup final and in contention for the pennant cup! At the beginning of the season I don't think anybody honestly thought that would be the case.So keep you heads up, be proud of what you have achieved and look forward!
| Billy | 10 March 2008 13:59:21 |
Unlucky on Sunday boys. Even though it wasn't the best of performances in the first half you battled away in the second half but it didn't quite happen. Keep your heads up. You can still do the double. COME ON YOU THAMES!
| David Fox | 10 March 2008 13:09:06 |
u12s - Keep your heads up and let's get back to the hard work at training. The second half performance was good and on another day may well have brought reward. The good news is we have a game on Sunday to put things right.
| chay | 10 March 2008 10:53:55 |
get well soon copper (what a gay name lol) waiting for you to come back good luck come on boys we can do it !!

Under 12's - if at the start of the season we had been offered our first defeat in the Prem would come in March 2008, we'd have taken that. Your unbeaten run has been fantastic and a credit to each any every one of you! Keep working hard, listen to Kev and Dave and the rewards will be there at the end of the season - lets start another amazing unbeaten run starting next Sunday!!!
| Steve | 07 March 2008 21:43:01 |
Good luck to the mighty 12's on Sunday - c'mon lads!!!

Hope you make a speedy and full recovery.
| Paul | 03 March 2008 09:37:30 |
Kieran, hope you get well soon. We will miss your obscure and 'somewhere out there' type of questions when we all get together before a match and pre-training! Seriously, the team is going to miss you and we need you back as soon as possible. Don't give your Mum too much ear ache while you recover.
| David Fox | 03 March 2008 00:40:27 |
Unlucky u13s, you gave 100% but it wasnt your day. Keep your heads up, work hard in training and give 100% again next match. The next win is just around the corner.
| Steve and George | 02 March 2008 21:45:42 |
Get well soon Kieran - it looked a nasty injury and takes a lot to put you on the ground. We need you back fit again but in the meantime take it easy and we look forward to your comeback soon. Best wishes matey.
| George H | 02 March 2008 20:35:51 |

| Message to all our under 13's | 28 February 2008 18:33:50 |
As discussed at training on Saturday, don't forget to give some thought to our vote this weekend before training this week; as always, we'll do whatever the team decide.
| David Fox | 26 February 2008 22:17:40 |
Col - Ljungberg's wife does not play rugby. You're just making these up now. Mind you after the way you cheat on a Thursday I shouldn't be surprised!
| colin | 26 February 2008 10:04:59 |
The answer is Freddie Lyungberg wifes plays rugby for Sweden.
| Steve | 24 February 2008 19:14:35 |
Well done to the 12's on their superb win this morning. Enjoy your weekend off.
| David Fox | 24 February 2008 15:31:12 |
Well played u12s - a great win against a tough team. 3 great goals, a clean sheet and 3 points! Enjoy your week off - youhave earned it.
| steve | 23 February 2008 20:10:41 |
Next week newsletter exclusive - we picture one of the 12's supposedly FIFA regulated pumped up balls. Judge for yourself.
| David Fox | 23 February 2008 16:01:49 |
Contrary to Mr Hill's slanderous comments in the Newsletter I do not "google" the answers to the questions every time. Most I get without the need to.
| David Fox | 22 February 2008 19:34:01 |
Col - I am giving up on the Prem player's wife. I'll offer the prize to anyone who gets the correct answer
| Robert Cole | 20 February 2008 19:38:18 |
Dave - what record did West Ham break when they were relegated in 2003?
| colin | 20 February 2008 17:08:25 |
Dave | |
| colin | 20 February 2008 16:55:08 |
sorry about the question with no answer i was mis informed about the answer.
| David Fox | 20 February 2008 13:54:00 |
Col - I know this one as I was actually a reserve ball boy at the last final!! I was 9 at the time. The answer is 1974. The FA Trophy and FA Vase competitions replaced it.
| Claude Makelele | 20 February 2008 13:49:31 |
Bonjour, Monsieur Fox est correct. Je wasn't up to the job in 1998 mais I am now enjoying playing pour le Chelski. All of us Bleus recognise what an outstanding football knowledge David has. At training we refer to any one who is intelligent as playing the "Fox role". John terry and Lamps have not quite managed to perfect that un yet. Au Revoir et bon chance for the rest of le saison. Claude
| David Fox | 20 February 2008 13:46:09 |
Col - the correct answer was actually - NO ONE!!
| Colin | 20 February 2008 13:41:55 |

| Colin | 20 February 2008 12:24:21 |
Well done mate correct.
| David Fox | 20 February 2008 11:24:38 |
Col - without looking the answer up I have come up with Claude Makelele. I believe he was in the France 98 World Cup & 2000 European Championships squads, won the European Cup with Real Madrid and has won the 3 domestic trophies with Chelsea.
| Colin | 20 February 2008 10:05:03 |
I have one for you Footy Fox.
| David Fox | 19 February 2008 21:18:27 |
Kieran - easy ones mate!! Julien was born August 1st 1983 in Le Havre, same day as Brett though a few years before.
| David Fox | 19 February 2008 21:14:32 |
Billy - come on let's have a difficult one. 1970, Old Trafford Chelsea beat Leeds 2-1 after a 2-2 draw at Wembley on the previous saturday. Wembley was like a swamp. Dave Webb headed the winner from a Ian Hutchinson long throw. I didnt even have to look this one up - it was the first cup final I ever watched and I have seen every one since, though a few from the early 80s are a bit of a drunken blur!!
| Kieran O'shea | 19 February 2008 19:10:56 |
Another one for Dave: | |
| Kieran | 19 February 2008 18:57:19 |
Try and get this one Dave:
| Billy | 19 February 2008 13:46:34 |
Dave, Quiz question for you. In all the years that the FA Cup final has been held at Wembley, when was the only time the cup was actually won somewhere else?
| sean berry [scholsy] | 18 February 2008 20:10:07 |
it maybe a draw at the end of the the day but we can still win the league come on boys!
| Message to all our under 13's | 18 February 2008 16:48:33 |
Ok we only drew yesterday but have a look at the table and ask yourself "Which Team in our Division would you like to changes places with?"
| Steve | 18 February 2008 16:38:58 |
Harry - how big are your quavers? Must be a multipack?
| David Fox | 17 February 2008 22:13:07 |
u13s - unlucky today but keep your heads up. This is where you need to work even harder, listen to Steve and Paul and carry on giving 100%. Your parents, families and friends are all behind you and know you have what it takes to win the title. Now you start to believe it and play like we all know you can. The points will keep coming.
| Steve | 17 February 2008 17:19:00 |
Challenge for our defence - we gave away three goals today, so how about making up for it with three clean sheets in our next three games?
| David Fox | 17 February 2008 12:49:29 |
Steve - the team do get their stamina from Kev's training. My "briefing" at the end is what motivates the team to play well. It's simple, win or I'll drone on for 20 minutes at the end of training!!! I appreciate your methods are different - no way could you hold anyone's attention for more than 5 seconds!! Up the Gateway!!!!
| Steve | 17 February 2008 11:01:32 |
Good luck to the under 13's today.
| Under 13's camp to Under 12's | 17 February 2008 11:00:00 |
12's, it was only yesterday that we realised how well you have really done week in week out for the last few seasons. Your stamina obviously comes from having to listen to Mr Fox and his verbal marathons after training. We waited about an hour for our snazzy new TGFC kit bags while he bored you all to sleep. What did he have to talk about? You didn't have a game on Sunday, perhaps he was enlightening you on the current World economic downturn, the middle east crisis, the latest on the US Presidential elections? Who knows?! We thought he would take the hint with the slow handclap and the chants of "Is that all you've got to say?" but no. All the time we thought it was Kevin's training but clearly your stamina comes from Dave's chin wags - rather you than us.......Up the Gateway!!!
| Harry | 16 February 2008 22:53:30 |
A big thankyou to Dave and Steve for my club bag, i now have somewhere to put my quavers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| Nicola and Squirrel | 16 February 2008 18:33:25 |
Lee, the answer to the Dave Chapman question is........
| Kieran | 16 February 2008 14:18:56 |
Thank you for the bag Dave
| David Fox | 15 February 2008 20:52:05 |
Good luck to the u13s on Sunday - let's bounce back with a win and 3 more points!
| David Fox | 15 February 2008 20:51:07 |
Sorry Harry, it was actually me but I will have a big prize for you at the end of training. Promise!!!!
| Harry | 13 February 2008 20:32:57 |
ha ha steve i know it was you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said that i will await MY prize england kit!!!!!!
| harry | 13 February 2008 18:30:14 |
Too bad Dave, you have anwsered the question incorrectly! but your answer was even better than my one. I think it's only fair I treat you to a special prize. How about I buy you the new england kit! The Mole bows to the Fox!!
| David Fox | 13 February 2008 18:00:38 |
OK Harry I think I have the answer but I'm not sure as I cannot find a photo to confirm it.
| Dave c | 12 February 2008 16:20:38 |
I WOULD LIKE TO TELL EVERYONE WHAT THE REF AND I WERE TALKING ABOUT. HE HAD HEARD RUMOURS ABOUT A CERTAIN GENTLEMAN (ONE OF OUR SUPPORTERS) HAVING BOTOX MISTANKINGLY ADMINISTERED IN HIS STOMACH INSTEAD OF HIS PECKS. LOVE YA LEEX
| Steve | 12 February 2008 12:45:06 |
Ryan (Ockendon Rhinos) - you and your Team had a great game on Sunday so we expect a poor one from you on the return game at Lakeside.

| Lee Moss | 10 February 2008 21:47:12 |
Football Question: What does Dave Chapman have to say to each ref after the game (have you noticed he always walks off after the game with his arm on the Refs shoulder!) your answer please on a post card to: Lee Moss c/o I know chapman wants to ware the black outfit !(Thames Gateway) the best answer will win a prize!
| David Fox | 10 February 2008 21:45:36 |
U13s - keep your heads up, you are a superb team with glory in front of you this season. Get back on the training pitch next week and work even harder. 11 wins in a row is a superb achievement and one defeat doesnt make you a bad team.
| David Fox | 10 February 2008 21:41:35 |
Right here we go: | |
| Steve | 09 February 2008 18:38:03 |

| Steve | 28 January 2008 07:38:50 |
Just a quick post to say how well the 12's are doing this season. The Champions have gone up to the Pemier and are challenging for the title. Many Teams 2-0 down away to Stanford would have given up, not us, to battle back and earn a point is magnificent. Cup semi finalists and Premier title contenders in their first season - fantastic! Well played lads!
| Steve | 27 January 2008 19:51:56 |
Sean D - we hope today's win made you feel better, get well soon from everyone at the Club.

| Dave H & CJ | 27 January 2008 18:22:47 |
What a great game today. Very tough. Great result, although we believe another 5 minutes and we would have clinched it. Anyway, not bad against a team with 20 coaches! :-)

David - yeah thanks for that. It gets worse, I bumped into a familiar face while walking round Lakeside (awaiting for my rescue) an unnamed under 13's player who was out with his mates. Despite my attempts to say hello, I obviously was not cool enough and was promptly blanked and waved away.

Great result for the u13s today in difficult windy conditions. The team looked a little rusty after the extended lay off but nine wins from nine games tells its own story.
| Steve | 20 January 2008 20:38:34 |
Well played the 13's today - nine wins from nine is a fantastic achievement. We were a little off form today because of the conditions and the fact that this was our first game in six weeks but the sign of a good team is to win even when not playing at your best and that's what we did today. Gateway on three..........GATEWAY!!!
| David Fox | 18 January 2008 22:55:28 |

Well said Graham. The big fella works his sock off for the boys and the club but prefers to keep quiet about it. He has done so much again this season, not just with Paul on the coaching side but also on organising new kit/equipment, games and of course the superb Newsletter every week.
| Graham Cole | 18 December 2007 00:00:00 |
After reading the latest newsletter, everyone has quite rightly been congratulated on what a great season both teams are having - except one person, Steve, so I would like to say a big thank you and well done from all the parents and players of the u 13's, yourself and Paul must be doing something right - the league table speaks for itself !

Well done again to the U13's for yesterday grinding out a 'hard fought' win against Thurrock A . Many more U13 teams with visit Nutberry this season and not come away with all 3 points! Again the weather yesterday caused many matches to churn out surprise results and it appears as though our competitors keep beating eachother ~ long may that continue! Next Sunday V's 'LTD Cougars White' is our last game before we have a 4 week winter break, so let's make sure we end 2007 with another win!
| Robert Cole | 03 December 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done on sunday boys, the title is heading our way!
| Steve | 02 December 2007 00:00:00 |

happy birthday Dave! Nearly as old as Steve!

Some great results went the U13's way this Sunday, notably; Essex Royals - 1 V Thurrock B - 4, Ockendon Rhino's - 2 V Thurrock A - 1 & Corringham Cosmos Utd - 4 V Devil Warriors - 2!!! The season still has two thirds to go and we should not be expecting an easy ride from any of the teams we play this season, including Thurrock this Sunday! However, well done again to all of the U13's players for winning their first 6 out of 6 games ~ it is great to see that after so many years together the team is starting to get the rewards that your loyalty has shown, especially during some of the more difficult seasons.
| Robert Cole | 26 November 2007 00:00:00 |
(Dont tell Steve i called him old)
| Nicola & Squirrel | 26 November 2007 00:00:00 |
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| Outraged from Thurrock | 26 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Sir, I am writing to express my outrage at your under 12's Manager's conduct on Sunday. Surely he should be setting the boys an example? Is this the Club's first ever official red card? Well, I never! Never ever even once! I do hope the Club will take appropriate action to rekindle my faith in football.
| Robert Cole | 25 November 2007 00:00:00 |
You may have won the lost posted messages last week squirrel, but this week you wont!!!!!!!!
| Robert Cole | 25 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Squirrel! Is this a start of a long feud?
| The FA | 25 November 2007 00:00:00 |
PRESS RELEASE; The FA have charged Kevin Taylor following his dismissal to the stands at today's game against Thurrock. Taylor denies the charge under FA Law 21 subsection 2 paragraph 4 - "ringing". Taylor was sent off after running onto the pitch trying to pass himself off as an under 12. His lame excuse of going on to assist an injured player has been rejected. Whilst the FA accepts the eyesight of one or two referees may be questionable, the FA agree that they know of no bald under 12 players playing in the Thundermite League and that Mr Taylor stood out like a sore thumb. We do however admit that there were three or four under 12 players taller than Mr Taylor on the pitch and that this is why today's referee was a little slow at spotting the incident.
| Robert Cole | 25 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Cheers ears! thanks Freddie and :( Squirrel :( for the assists, great game!
| Robert Cole | 25 November 2007 00:00:00 |

| David Fox | 18 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Great Penalty Shoot Out yesterday. The standard has got better, proved by the fact that so many goals went in despite us having adults in goal for the first time. Thanks to Pete, Paul and Colin for their excellent goal keeping in less than perfect conditions!
| Steve | 18 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Kyran and Josh - Congratulations on winning the penalty shoot out; well done to everyone for such high standards - for the 13's a quick mention for Ronaldo who has held the title for three successive years, a fantastic achievement and I'm sure he'll be back next year and also Sean D, it takes real quality to finish runner up two years running. Keep on knocking Sean and one day the door will open.
| Peter Mole | 17 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Penalty shootout................Under 13's... excellent standard today believe me! Each one of you should be proud of the penalties you took .Well done Kyran a worthy winner. Mr Hill.......... Having read your fictional but funny interview with my husband, I was upset to find myself being called a ''Nutcase''. I know my lovely cuddly other half would not even think of calling me this, so I can only assume it came from you !............. the man who supports a useless cockney team, the man with the physique of ''Humpty Dumpty'' and the man who has to give away mars Bars just to keep his friends!!!!!! Now you know how I feel! See you on Saturday....... Well done to all the boys today , lets hope you all raised lots of money for the club.

Good luck to the u12s for Sunday's cup game. We had a great run last year and it would be fantastic to go one better but dont underestimate Mornington Boys who's results show are a very good team.

Good luck Pete in your new committee role- the initiation ceremony is quite tough & as you're stepping into my shoes (so to speak), I might have a pair of pink stilettos you can borrow? I think you'll do a great job!

Lee - leave the touchline antics to the professionals? Did you notice how polite I was when questioning the Linesman's decision? You could learn from me my friend.
| Paul | 05 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done to the U13's for another great win. To beat Thurrock Tigers by 12-2 is an outstanding result, few teams will do that to them this season, if at all. It was especially pleasing to see so many long range and first time shots going towards their goal ~ it demonstrates that you are listening to Steve and me (well most of the time!) Remember, the season still has a long way to go and we wil encounter many closer games before we reach our ultamate goal of trying to win the league, so keep your feet on the ground, keep listening/learning at training and if you do we will come very close to our quest! It was also good to see so many U13's parents at yesterday's match ~ fair weather supporters? Where were you when we were ****? No seriously Steve, me and the boys really do appreciate it when so many parents come along to support not only their boy but also the team. Don't forget to collect your sponsor money for the penalty shoot-out competition and see you all again on Saturday for training, can't wait!

Well Done to the u13s for a brilliant performance today. There was some great passing and movement finished off with some superb goals. This team is on fire at the moment and rightly top of the league. Keep it going - COME ON THAMES!
| Lee Moss | 04 November 2007 00:00:00 |
Steve and the dads from the under 13's have asked me to write an adults version of the match report, but unfortunately the board of sensor's have not permitted the article !!!!!!
| Steve | 04 November 2007 00:00:00 |

Well done to all four teams at the TTFC tournament. The u13s put in some good performances against Premier Div teams. The u12s also had a good day and the all TGFC semi final was played in an excellent spirit. Unlucky to the boys in the "blue" team for missing out on the trophy. I think we all agreed that Wilburn were the better team and deserved the win.
| Steve | 27 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done to all the lads at the TT tournament today. The 13's played well but had one eye on tomorrow's cup game, while the 12's put in an excellent performance leading to an all Thames Gateway semi and another tournament final for this great Club of ours. Well done Jamie and CJ and George S and Sean B for earning man of the tournament awards. Good luck to the 13's in the Cup tomorrow.

| Skysports update - Dad's footie | 18 October 2007 00:00:00 |
It could only happen to him. Less than two minutes into his comeback and Steve Hill scores. Nobody was eggspecting that! The pressure obviously got to Pete Mole, who went underground and did not surface tonight, rumours of a damaged medial ligament were abound. Colin is singing Soprano in church on Sunday after taking a low hard ball in his special area. He walked back to his car like John Wayne. A late mishit, deflected shot from Mr Fox trickled over the line for the winner, but it was comeback King Hill who was rightly named man of the match. Great game lads!
| Peter 'Pretty Big ' Mole | 17 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Mr Hill................. I feel I need to reply to your remark about myself being 'out of shape'! This comes from a man who resembles an 'easter egg with legs' ! The term 'Pot and kettle' springs to mind!.............Bring it on big boy.
| Skysports Breaking News | 16 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Ashley Cole out, John Terry out but Steve Hill fit to return this Thursday at Dad's footie. Earplugs will be available for Brett. Fat Colin's reign of terror as Thursday's numero uno now over. Mr Greedy (Paul) will be rightly subjected to chants of "Greeedieee!" with every shot. No one is safe! Except perhaps Pete Mole but only because he's pretty big (but out of shape for me it's a living! - apologies "Get Carter")
| My name is Michael Caine | 16 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Oi, Hill. What do you think you're playing at, and it aint football. The line from Get Carter is "with me it's a full time job" so there! You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off! Put yer foot down we'll lose 'em easy! This is the self preservation society. Italian Job done. Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea.....
| The Mole's | 15 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Well played u 12's on Sunday, you all played well on a very warm and tiring day. The goals will come but it was always going to be hard this season as you are now playing better teams in the premier league. Keep up the good work and you will get the rewards.
| David Fox | 15 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Well played u12s yesterday. Hard work and determination kept us in the match early on and a little more composure in front of goal might have grabbed all 3 points late on. But stanford are a good team and that is what we want - competetive football every week.
| Matthew Taylor | 14 October 2007 00:00:00 |
So what position have the U12s got to reach this season so that Kevin doesn't step down as manager
| David Fox | 13 October 2007 00:00:00 |
Good luck to the u12s in their first home league game of the season. Let's see if we can get the goals this week.
| Steve n George | 12 October 2007 00:00:00 |

| David Fox | 30 September 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done to the u13s for a good win today. It was a tough match and, despite not quite reproducing the excellent recent form, you did enough to earn the win. Keep working hard in training (I enjoyed helping out yesterday and was impressed by the hard work and committment) and the results will keep coming. It's early days in the league campaign but 6 points from 2 games is all you can ask.
| David Fox | 28 September 2007 00:00:00 |

Steve, thanks for the game today , once again it was a pleasure playing against such a pleasant bunch of boys, coaches and parents. You had too many better players than us today. Thanks for the medal given to our 'keeper he was our man of the match too - without him it would have been 6 or 7. Let us try and improve before we meet again and in the meantime all the best for the forthcoming season. regards Peter Quire Brentwood Athletic u13c manager.

Poor old Col he needs a bit of excitement to liven up his work day. So can everyone please take a minute to post a message to keep him going.
| Steve | 27 July 2007 00:00:00 |
In response to Big Col's happy hour or whatever it was - can I clarify that the last time I changed sides at Dads footie, I left the team that was winning and still finished on the winning side! That Big Col has got it all wrong; he's supposed to improve the teams he plays in, not drag them into the darkness with him.
| So called BIG Col | 27 July 2007 00:00:00 |
Just like to say on record that i was on the winning team when i left decoys team, and finished on the losing side, on the Fox/Hill "winning goal" method (these Duckworth/Lewis boys have nothing on TGFC!!).

| Sky Sports Breaking News | 06 July 2007 00:00:00 |
Football plunged in chaos. The last thing football needed right now after the Tevez affair was another unregistered player enquiry however the FA today confirmed that they are investigating last nights Dad's match in which Colin "I go down better than Drogba" Bodimeade's side rode its luck to record a rare (for Bodimeade) and narrow win. The FA confirmed that the paperwork had not gone through for one of Bodiemade's "ringers" and they will not repeat their mistakes made in handling the West Ham enquiry. The FA will be deducting points or in this case awarding last nights game to the opposition. Sheffield United are outraged at the decision meanwhile Bodimeade has been forced to recall his abusive text messages sent to one of the opposition players after the game last night. Steve Hill, usually quiet and timid and one always to shun publicity made a rare statement "It's a shame that on the eve of the Club World Cup Tournament this will cast a shadow over everything, mind you when Colin and Brett stand together its like an eclipse is going on. Cheating though is cheating."

Thank You to everyone who managed to get to Romford last night for what turned out to be a fantastic evening. We raised loads of cash for the club which, as ever, will benefit the boys and we have a stack of complimentary tickets to go back to Romford during the Summer. I'll distribute these on Saturday.

| Kieran becomes the 4th | 03 July 2007 00:00:00 |
Kieran became the fourth Under 12's player to break something this year when last week in a School game, he was in goal and broke his finger in a collison with Ashley K. Sporting a metal cast around his finger Kiearn aka "Barry Scott" and "chopper" still joined in at training on Saturday and said he will play in this Saturday's club World Cup tournament. The latest injury has made up the mind of the Committee who have signed up to an improved insurance plan for the Club which covers breaks. Kieran is the latest player to have broken something this year following on from Ash K (arm), George H (finger) and currently David (wrist). Get well soon Kieran from us all at TGFC.

With all of the excitement on Sunday, not all of you got your registration forms for next season. Sorry. I will post these out to you - or deliver, wherever possible. I will also bring forms along to our last training session on Saturday 30th June - though this will give you a week to get your forms/photos and cheques back. We need 2 x passport size photographs of each player plus a cheque for your signing on fee (this can be post dated if need be). All the completed forms and documents need to be back for the World Cup tournament on Saturday 7th July.

| Steve | 18 June 2007 00:00:00 |
Great tournament lads! Short of key players Conor, Kieran, Kyran and David, we called up CJ, Josh, Harry and Michael into the seniors and they all did very well - CJ's saves got us through the knock outs, Josh's goals were superb while Harry and Michael put in some great midfield performances. The "reds" topped their group winning 3 and drawing one. They did not concede a goal until the flukey one that put us out in the quater final. George S's goal from inside his own half and some superb passing and movement were the highlights for me. While the "blues" deserved their Cup final place, CJ, Ashley K and Ashley B were all in outstanding form. However, all our players on both our teams played very well.

Congratulations to the u12s for two magnificent efforts yesterday at the LTD tournament. An unlucky quarter final exit for the reds and a spirited performance in the final from the blues. The trophies and medals just keep coming at this club!!
| Paul | 18 June 2007 00:00:00 |
Echoing Steve's earlier comments ~ well done to all the boys that played in the recent LTD Tournament. A special mention to Nick Wood, who played his last competitive game for TGFC, thanks for all those goals Nick! Also I would like to thank the four U11's boys (Josh, Michael, Harry & CJ) for helping us out in our hour of need, we couldn't have done as well as we did without you ~ it's obvious why you won the league this year, with the quality you all possess! A final word of thanks to all of the Red Team parents/friends that stayed behind to cheer on the Blue Team in the final. See you all at the World Cup tournament!

Warmer climates I hope. Well done Tracey for organising the weekend. Enjoyed the great company . Derren Brown has got nothing on me!! How much fun did we have watching Col and Steve try and out bluff the bluffer. What most of you dont realise is that in the low key re-match Robbie beat me 3-2. Simple reason, he didnt have all those distractions from the Magners Kid and Lager Boy!

What a terrific weekend it was in Clacton! Well done to all of the organisers, players, parents and family members for making last weekend a memorable affair. Not only did the players do their best in sometimes awful weather conditions but the spirit amongst all those involved was tremendous and I know that it has really pulled the club together. Thanks also to Colin and Dave for purchasing the Marquee, without it we would've needed floats, water wings and lilo's to get us up and down the touch lines!!!
| jason | 29 May 2007 00:00:00 |

Good game yesterday at a soggy Lakeside. I thought both teams played well. CJ was awesome for the 11's, while Reggie and George S were both impressive for the 12's. .
| Reg (Sunday's Ref) | 14 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Thank you to Steve "Neil Warnock" Hill for his assessment of my performance yesterday. Had it not been a friendly he would have been sent to the stand for his comments at the start. I didn't appreciate the obvious attempt to intimidate me.
| David Fox | 14 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Well played both teams in yesterday's friendly. The conditions were difficult but both teams played well. The u12s showed why they have been getting such good results of late with an excellent passing game. The u11s put on a good show and I'm looking forward to next week's match v Pegasus Youth.
| Steve | 10 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Dave J (Rodders), sorry to hear about your car accident today and cracked rib. Have to say though, you don't do things by half do you mate? Not satisfied with colliding with a car, you went the full monty and took on a cement mixer! What have you got to say Blue Circle?! Wish you well mate from me and all the Thursday night footie crew.
| David Fox | 10 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Dave & Tom - hope you are ok after the accident. I see Steve is his usual sensitive self!! Will Dave be able to play in goal next Thursday? Pete Mole has offered to go in the other goal so it'll be even. Wish all the injured parties well.
| Sue Mole | 07 May 2007 00:00:00 |

Headlines: Dads desperate to get Mole (medial ligament), Taylor (overtime) and Hill (wimp) back fit as soon as possible. Last night's one sided match was short of players. Brett's passing was off beat, surprising as Hill was not there to wind him up. Martin (what is his surname?? oh no it's catching!!) showed good skills, only falling over twice. Rumours of plans to replace Hill with a tailor's dummy (as more mobile) have been denied.
| Sky Sports news | 04 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Dave (The Decoy) Has been sacked on picking teams on thursday night due to the teams being so unfair.Players statement -Hurry back Steve your team selection was not good but better than Decoy Dave's.
| Decoy Dave | 04 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Official Press Release - I'm gutted, I was stitched up. First Steve drops out, then he gives me half a dozen rancid bibs (sure there was something alive in that bag!!) then I get the blame for the poor performance of the team. You can only pick from what's in front of you and, quite frankly, I wasn't looking at Brazil at 8 o'clock last night!!
| Paddy Power | 03 May 2007 00:00:00 |
I hear Thames Gateway are going to the Dogs (most of the u11 Parents did that years ago!!). I'll give you evens you make more noise than the other clubs and I'll make you odds on to have a great night!!
| William hill | 03 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Dear Paddy......the under 11 parents will give anybody a run for their money, I wouldn't even take bets on it!!!! 10 to 1 there needs to be a mini bus arranged so they can have a drink or ten? one dead cert is the dogs is a great night and everyone will enjoy it!!!!!!
| Sky Sports News | 03 May 2007 00:00:00 |
P Mole (medial ligament) and Hill (groin strain) out. Fox fit. Brett unlucky. Muller greedy. Taylor two bob. Weather overcast. Match boring....no Hill tonight.
| Colin | 02 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done u12's what a great year to improve so much.
| Clare | 02 May 2007 00:00:00 |
Going up into the premier division of the Thundermite league should be fun. Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent result for Sunday u12s - Grays Cosmos are a good side but you came from 2-0 down in the away fixture to win and it sounds like a solid defensive performance gave you the basis for the result last Sunday. Go out and see if you can beat Wilburn in the last game to make it 3 in a row.
| Steve | 29 April 2007 00:00:00 |
Well played today 12's - great result - everbody played superbly!
| Paul | 29 April 2007 00:00:00 |
Well done again U12's today! The double over Cosmos is a great result. One more league game to go against Wilburn ~ let's make sure we finish with another win and in the top half of the league!!! See you all in a couple of weeks ( a reminder next week we're off as it is a Bank Holiday weekend)

It has come to our attention that some of your parents tried to break the '' how many elephants can you get in a vauxhall corsa record''. Instead of elephants we heard you used Moles and Gulls! do you have any evidence of this amazing feat? We understand you managed to get 8 bodies in the car and then managed to drive around essex avoiding the local police with very little air left in your tyres!! we feel this would make a terrific edition to our book, can you please forward any evidence to us or pictures from speed camera's will suffice.......

Well done U11's ~ "Top of the League!" One more win and you will be promoted as Champions! That is a terrific effort and something we can all be proud on the anniversary of our first year. U'12's ~ Steve and I are really proud of the way you played yesterday, a bit more luck and we would have won comfortably; you are learing to play good football, never give up, becoming very difficult to beat and continuing to listen to our advice. If we win our last three games we will finish in the top half of the league.
| David Fox | 15 April 2007 00:00:00 |
