TGFC U15's last game today (Sun 23rd May 2010) and we finished in style beating our rivals 5-0! This means we end the season: unbeaten, with the best GD, best defence and by far the best team in our lge this yr. I have really enjoyed this yr so much, thanks to every parent, player and to Steve our 'Champions' Manager. Bring on Div 2 in 2010/2011!!! \0/

What a fantastic season. What a fantastic Club!
Our Mighty 15's won it as a Squad with every player playing their part throughout the season and we both needed and couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. Well done lads!!!
We played the right way, no long balls, our passing game, our defensive record is second to none, the midfield have been awesome, up front we've scored some great goals.
Not a single card and respecting the Referee both home and away. Strange that - when Paul and I Ref at training nobody seems to agree with our decisions?
We have won the League with an unbeaten record, this from a side who couldn't win a match last season!
David said Kev had mentioned we've had year on year silverware as a Club and it's great to see the 15's making the contribution to that record for this season, we had come close in previous years but we are worthy Champions this year, plus it gives our 14's a year off. Talking of which, the support from the under 14's has been unbelievable in the last few weeks, nobody wanted us to win it more than them and that speaks volumes.
Paul and Dave (Fairweather) have been excellent coaches and Foxy, this one was for you too - as a thank you for all your hard work and support for the boys, not just this year but every year; great to see you at all our games in the run in.
But most of all, this is down to each and every one of our players, once they cross that white line it's up to them to do the business and being crowned CHAMPIONS without a League defeat in 21 games demonstrates how big an achievement this is.

Well done to our under 15's who put in two more excellent "shifts" this weekend to earn 4 points to our promotion/title hopes. We needed everyone in our squad over the two days and every one of you played your part.

A big thank you to all our parents, friends and relatives for your support on both days too - great to see so many from the under 14's camp there cheering the lads on. As the motto goes - "two great Teams, one great Club."

Great fightback on Sunday. You all battled really well after going behind. You played some great football, showed great determination and never stopped right until the end. Well done.

Just wanted to say well done to the under 15's. Steve, the Runwell Manager and his number two were full of praise for the football we played.

What I really like though is the fact that the season so far has been a Squad effort, with every player playing their part. Goals are coming from all positions (our top scorer is our right back) and we are playing some of the best football I can remember.

Let's keep up the good work lads!

Well played the U15's yesterday. After several attempts of beating Rhino's we finally succeeded by playing them off the park! It probably proves that as a side and a club we have moved forward in all aspects both on and off the field.

Well done to John and Roger for keeping Pete awake during the "entertaining" Grays v Pikeys game yesterday afternoon. If as advertised this was West Spam's first Team (surely not) then Franco and Clarkie have got their work cut out this season.

Grays however were a pleasant surprise - they've lost some good players but the ones that have come in look pretty good.

Colin is living proof that the post office can seriously damage what very minited footie skills you had.

He has been playing like a pregnant Maybug wearing diving boots who has just finished drinking four pints of beer, eaten a suet pudding just before the game kicked off and suffering from constipation.

This is in memory of the little Maybug (June Bugs) I saw Dave Fox maliciously kill on Thursday night, as well as the attempted murder by Steve Hill of many Maybugs (June Bugs) whilst hitting them with a racket!!!!

Thanks again for everyone that turned up for last Saturday's World Cup Day and for again raising lots of money for the Club.
We really enjoyed the footie (have checked the TV replay's and it was a good 2nd goal in the Semi's Steve), the races (I was gonna win my sprint race until Moley, shoved me over as I was making my move and Fox is still going in the relay event!) and most importantly the 'chat n fun' we shared with you all.
I am also pleased to note that we now have 20 U15 players next year going into a new League and against fresh opposition. We will have to work extra hard next year to ensure a League win!
For now, we wish you all a great Summer and can't wait to meet up with you all again on 22nd August ~ we are already counting down the days!

Thank you to everyone who came along and made our 2009 Presentation such a success!
The Chairman's speech highlighting what we had done in a very busy and exciting season, David's best ever Presentation DVD, the players coming up to get their well earned awards and the fantastic reception they got from their parents, relatives and friends, Captain Gateway and Thamesetta's "Deal or No Deal" - Lee and Dave were superb in their roles, keeping us entertained and raising £850 for the boys in the process, thanks to everyone who helped clear the Hall after the event and then it was off to the Lakeside Clubhouse where we all had a great time and where Mark, Linda and their Staff were fantastic and where Linda laid on a first class buffet!

You have raised a staggering credit crunch busting £1,194.00 for the boys, THANK YOU and we could not get everything in, the Club Raffle was rolled over to our end of Season finale our Club World Cup and Olympics Family Day on Saturday.

Well Done to everyone that helped yesterday in firstly setting up the Hall for the Presentation and then to assist in tidying up afterwards. Obviously, we would also like to congratulate everyone that was involved in making this year's Presentation the best one ever! ~ Are we ever going to stop surpassing ourselves? We have alot to do if we are going to beat this years achievements.
A special thanks to Steve, Dave F, Lee and Dave C~ you were all terrific yesterday!!!

Seriously, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and really didn't want the weekend to end. We had such a laugh from beginning to end.
Highlights; Pirates 'one and all!', the good weather (at last sunshine on tour!), the effort shown by the boys when playing all 6 games and despite the injuries and having no subs, winning the Fair Play Trophy again (twice in three years), Lee's generosity at the carvery, the Dad's crazy golf, Dean/Colin's "dance off", Geordies being relagated (sorry Sue) the smiles, laughter and all round enjoyment. Roll on next year!
Can't wait for the Presentation and the World Cup day to meet up with you all again ~ aaarrrgh!

What a brilliant tour! The weather was great, the boys were a credit to themselves and the club, the football was entertaining, the company was superb!!!
I haven't laughed so much for a very long time.
Shame the organisation left 13s and 14s separated for much of the time but I think we all managed to have a great laugh.

Under 13's - another great result and on course for the title, steady as she goes, stay focused - you can do it!

Under 14's - great to see Squiz, Nicola and Tezza on the line supporting the team.
We deserved a pen when Rob C was brought down. Showed tremendous spirit in the first half and were unlucky to concede with the last kick of the half. In the second half we should have done better defending dead ball situations but competed well. At 3-0 we pushed players on in search of a goal and got caught out twice - no biggie, my call to go three at the back.
The 5-0 result flattered LTD, a top quality side and really good friends of ours.
Conor deserved his MoM and George H, skipper Ashley, Danny and Fred all put in top performances, however every one of our players showed tremendous spirit throughout. We looked like a Team again. Next up Corringham Athletic at home - looking forward to it!

Finally thanks to everyone for getting their tour money in. In particular to Mr Chapman who posted cash through my next door neighbours letterbox. What a wally. Dave, I received the fiver, when can we have the rest of the money mate?

Well played the U14's yesterday, in what was very difficult weather conditions ~ I have never seen people leave the end of a football match, as quickly as people left during yesterday's hail-storm!!!
We must work harder on creating more chances; also when we play 3 at the back we have to learn how to play the off-side rule much better than we did yesterday.
We didn't get the chance to discuss the game after the match and present the M.O.M award; however, my vote would have gone to George H, who kept us in the game with a series of '1 on 1' saves ~ well played George!!!

u14s - unlucky today, it sounded like a bit of a mixed performance but keep working hard and the results will come.
u13s - one word, "SUPERB". To beat Collier Row with a full squad would have been a great result but to do it with 10 men was outstanding. Every player worked his socks off and the team spirit is something special. Well played boys, me, Kev and all the parents are so proud of you.

I apologize for any inconvenience. I understand you are having trouble playing your game online with friends/opponents. I would request you to remove each other from the friends list and then add again as this could have been caused due to some issue with the friends list.

Also, try to connect your internet line directly into the PS3 and see if the issue remains or not. Sometimes with one person being on a wireless connection and one person being on a wired connection can have a drastic effect on how strong the connection is between you two.

Please let us know (post a message) if this advice is helpful.

So Liveinthepast got lucky on Sunday when Referee and lifetime Liveinthepast fan Mr Riley sent of Frank Lampard for being fouled by Alonso. Fortunately, as they now only have three strikers after making an £8Million loss by selling Keane, I anticipate that when Torres gets injured Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and possibly even Rottenham Hotspur should catch Liveinthepast and overtake them in the Premier League.

Shame the U13's didn't get to play again this weekend although it's good that they have gone through to the next round. Well us Keillers still stood out in the cold all day but we were warmed by Adams team reaching the final with E.T.U.FC of the league cup. So heres a thought last season Adam brought hope a league winners medal and Matt a Cup winning trophy, so lets hope their fortunes are reversed this season, but it could be even better if we are able to get to two Cup Finals with both the boys. As long as they're not the same day!!!

Unlucky today 14's - it was a game of not many chances and we played better when we passed the ball a la two touch in training. Well played Luke, George H (still never conceded at Nutberry!) George S, Kieran, Tom, Ash and Conor in particular.

Following the credit crunch problems in America and the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan. In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches. Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. We understand some of you may use the roundabout near Sainsbury's/Lakeside Football Ground. Please beware of a small lime green vehicle which has been seen circling the roundabout and being driven in an erratic manner. Three occupants, one believed to be wearing Orient FC attire (we suspect this one to be mad and should not be approached), a woman driver with a vacant stare and a hippy passenger with overly grown hair in the rear of the vehicle, were seen laughing manically as they orbited the roundabout at speed yesterday afternoon. All units have been alerted.

Well played the under 14's yesterday, if we play like that this season we'll be fine. Mr Berry you were awesome but each and every one of you putting in an outstanding performance. To hear the Elmwood Colts (last years County Cup Finalists) Manager say "You have a great Team there" at the end of the game, was testiment to your magnificent efforts. On the train to work this morning though, I still could not believe how we did not go in at half time at least 3-0 up! Still, that's footie and we can take a lot out of the game. Well done to each and every one of you. You did yourselves proud.

u13s - some excellent play and a few "rusty" periods but overall a good performance bearing in mind we hadn't played since May. Keep working on the fitness!!

Well done U14's for a great win today. Although it was only a friendly, you played a very good team and made them look ordinary. Your passing, talking and desire to win was excellent. One or two midfielders need to work on their fitness, apart from that, it was an excellent display. What a goal by Samson ~ remember you can't cut your flowing locks until we lose and if we keep playing like we did today you might soon end up being called Rapunzel!!!

Great day at world cup, cannot wait until next year!

What a fantastic day Saturday turned out to be. Big thanks to Pete Mole for helping bring the whole thing together (and for the oven repair advice - working nicely again now mate!). Steve as ever did a great job on organising the footie, we made a few quid for the club and saw the season out in style.
And as for the new Guinness World Record for a Rounders match!! Brilliant fun. Sue "more lives than a cat" Mole and especially Julia "more bouncers than a West Indian fast bowler" Hards have left us with memories (no Julia I said memories) to treasure.
Enjoy the close season, missing you all already. See you all in Sept.

What a brilliant day!!! World Cup '08 was a great success thanks to the excellent organisation of the committee, and the behaviour and attitude of all the boys. Lakeside is the perfect location - where else could you spend a whole day (and night!) in exclusive extensive grounds, where the children can play safely and have the excellent facilities provided by Mark and Linda?? Worth every penny!!! As for the rounders game...... I am in agony, but would do it all again. In fact, how about relay races, sack races, three legged races etc for next year?? I'm planning already! (PS: Here's a question: What has the Bouncy Castle Company we used and Julia Hards got in common?)

The entire season has been a huge buzz with some really nice and freindly people - this is Roberts third club and is by far the best we have been at in terms of the people associated with it.

We would just like to say what a fantastic time we all had on tour at Great Yarmouth. Well done to both T.G teams . Your behaviour on and off the pitch was impeccable. Company was great, the boys were great. Can't wait for next year!!!!

What a great tour! On the pitch we competed against 2 County Champions, saved our best game til last and the boys did their Club proud. Well done lads - you were magnificent! Off the pitch we all had some great laughs; from Satnav Grant Seaman using the force to get to Hemsby, from "gyno" to "the gimp", TIMMEHHY!!!, Me convincing Debbie that the under 15's were very tall under 12's and Debbie saying she would ensure Dave checked their cards, Mr Bodimeade's banter, Everyone getting burned on Saturday and soaked on Sunday, Deano getting absolutely plastered then mistaking his hand for bread and putting it in the toaster at 2 am, Lee "I didn't start nothing...it was him", Kelly Ann's wellies and hats - the latter worn by Jason and Lee (we have the photos),Terry the Russian linesman, Sandra carrying three times her weight in kit and equipment, Sue bringing over the foreign Manager for me to meet "Transportah" and "Playerz like" indeed, Mark walking on stage to shake hands with Paul Walsh in the middle of the presentation and yesterday bringing his chalet key home "I didn't know what to do with it?!!!", our chant of "Is that all you take away?!!" to other teams while the banter was friendly in the Presentation Hall. I could go on and will do in the Newsletter.

But most of all, the boys from both our great teams thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to everyone for the great company, Tracey for securing the funding to make it all possible, TGDC for the funding and David for the thankless, demanding and essential task of organising such a successful trip.

Next season Barca or Holland?......Wherever we go, even if we end up at Southend...I can't wait!

What a fantastic weekend we all had in Hemsby! The boys were all superb, they competed well in the matches against some good teams and they behaved brilliantly for the whole weekend.

And off the field the parents enjoyed themselves - the Colin Van Dyke show was something special and watching Sean and Paul demolish the mega breakfast was an experience in itself.

Well done to everyone on Tour at Hemsby, this weekend. The Wells' all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, largely due to the excellent company we kept all weekend. A special thanks to Dave for arranging the tour, especially in light of the fact that you had to change venues, how stressful was that for you? Let's hope we tour again next year, Europe we hear? Finally, we are now looking forward to the end of season Presentation on 14th June and Fun Day on July 5th ~ see you all again soon!

What a great tour! We had a fantastic time with great friends. Both teams did really well and played some good football against some very good teams, they were all a credit to T.G.F.C with their superb behaviour.A big thanks to Dave for a well organised weekend and to Tracy for getting us the grant so we could go! Here's wishing everyone a great weekend on the Club Tour. The weather forecast is a bit mixed - sunshine Sat, rain Sunday but I'm sure we'll have a great time.

On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to Stanford Wanderers. We had so many close games this season and they deserve to have won the league for the football they play.
Phil (Stanford Manager) phoned me last night to offer his team's thanks for getting a result against LTD. The Stanford boys cheered "Gateway, Gateway" when they heard we had drawn.
As Phil said, we shared the two major trophies and had another cracking final in the third competition (Pennant). Great to see such sporting attitude both in victory and defeat - true gentleman!! Thanks also to Syanford Coach Colin for his sporting gestures at both finals. Well done Stanford - we'll look forward to more great games next season.

u12s - what a season. We entered 3 competitions and came 1st, 2nd & 3rd. we have stepped up a division and you have done yourselves and the club proud. And we came so close to grabbing another medal yesterday! But the highlight of the season was the cup final - that was our main aim at the beginning of the season. It has been a joy to be a part of it, bring on next season, but first it's the tour!! Cant wait.

The NHS were today forced to make a statement following concerns about Mr Bodimeade's hip injury sustained at Dad's footie last night. The statement reads "We the NHS are seriously concerned at Mr Bodimeade's decision to continue to play football after his hip injury last night. Mr Bodimeade has been advised that if he continues to play he is at serious risk. This is because we cannot find a replacement hip big enough to cover his seriously overly ample, lardy rear end" Mr Bodimeade was unvailable for comment after last being seen in Steve Hill's back pocket from 8pm to 9.30pm on Thursday evening.

Congratulations to our 12's on a magnificent Cup Final win. There were superb performances from every one of our players but to name just a few; CJ you were absolutely collossol at the back, Kieran was outstanding throughout the match, Michael was fantastic with some crucial tackles when we needed them late in the game, Harry was awesome, Kews was a dynamo in midfield and Bradley took his goal as cool as anything, he is the ice man! But everyone played their part in a historic and memorable victory - well done lads, you all thoroughly deserved it!

I want to say that it has been a pleasure coaching you this season, I am sure Paul will agree, and watching you develop as individuals and collectively as a Team over the years has been fantastic. At the start of the season we never dreamed we would be challenging for the promotion, let alone battling for the title especially after Ashley and Nick moved on, However we have replaced them with quality players in Robert and Sean and we are now a team to be taken seriously. Look at your fantastic record - 13 wins 2 draws and only 3 defeats and two more games to go - let's try to win those, secure runners up and then try and bring a trophy back from tour.

12's, it was only yesterday that we realised how well you have really done week in week out for the last few seasons. Your stamina obviously comes from having to listen to Mr Fox and his verbal marathons after training. We waited about an hour for our snazzy new TGFC kit bags while he bored you all to sleep. What did he have to talk about? You didn't have a game on Sunday, perhaps he was enlightening you on the current World economic downturn, the middle east crisis, the latest on the US Presidential elections? Who knows?! Boys are back training Saturday and for those Dads who have put on a few pounds over Christmas I am happy to report that Dad's footie kicks off at 8pm Thursday 3rd January as usual. Personally the flu has caused me to lose a few pounds (I know I didnt need to lose any and that steve is jealous of my physique) but I'll be ready to kick Brett as usual Thursday night. Wrap up warm though - we may even need an orange ball if the forecast is correct!

I can beat David, I have had the man flu for the last three weeks and still have a nasty cough. I think I caught it off David after he kissed me after one of my many Thursday night goals. However, I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again on Saturday and to start getting back in the swing of things.
I would like to reassure all our under 13 players that nobody is going anywhere in the transfer window.
Thanks to Graham for his posting (and David's) and thanks to everyone for the numerous texts and messages over the Christmas and New Year holiday - I also bumped into Big Ash, Col, Sally and Boo and Dave H and CJ at Lakeside, the latter two were over the moon at the shock news that West Ham were leading Manure 2-1.

Well done to both teams yesterday , two great performances and two superb results. Thanks to Mark , Linda and team for the great spread yesterday and for putting up with us for that long!

What a fantastic day - both teams won in impressive style, the u13s are sitting pretty on top of the league with maximum points and the u12s secured an unbeaten home record in 2007 and clinched a place in the Semi Finals for the second year in a row.
Congratulations to the u13s, Steve and Paul for their magnificent start to the season. A long way to go but keep working hard and the rewards will surely be there at the end of the season for you.
U12s - this has been a brilliant year, you have all worked so hard and made managing/coaching you a dream for Kev and I. we are so very proud of each and every one of you.

Some great results went the U13's way this Sunday, notably; Essex Royals - 1 V Thurrock B - 4, Ockendon Rhino's - 2 V Thurrock A - 1 & Corringham Cosmos Utd - 4 V Devil Warriors - 2!!! The season still has two thirds to go and we should not be expecting an easy ride from any of the teams we play this season, including Thurrock this Sunday! However, well done again to all of the U13's players for winning their first 6 out of 6 games ~ it is great to see that after so many years together the team is starting to get the rewards that your loyalty has shown, especially during some of the more difficult seasons.

PRESS RELEASE; The FA have charged Kevin Taylor following his dismissal to the stands at today's game against Thurrock. Taylor denies the charge under FA Law 21 subsection 2 paragraph 4 - "ringing". Taylor was sent off after running onto the pitch trying to pass himself off as an under 12. His lame excuse of going on to assist an injured player has been rejected. Whilst the FA accepts the eyesight of one or two referees may be questionable, the FA agree that they know of no bald under 12 players playing in the Thundermite League and that Mr Taylor stood out like a sore thumb. We do however admit that there were three or four under 12 players taller than Mr Taylor on the pitch and that this is why today's referee was a little slow at spotting the incident.

Well done to the U13's for another great win. To beat Thurrock Tigers by 12-2 is an outstanding result, few teams will do that to them this season, if at all. It was especially pleasing to see so many long range and first time shots going towards their goal ~ it demonstrates that you are listening to Steve and me (well most of the time!) Remember, the season still has a long way to go and we wil encounter many closer games before we reach our ultamate goal of trying to win the league, so keep your feet on the ground, keep listening/learning at training and if you do we will come very close to our quest! It was also good to see so many U13's parents at yesterday's match ~ fair weather supporters? Where were you when we were ****? No seriously Steve, me and the boys really do appreciate it when so many parents come along to support not only their boy but also the team. Don't forget to collect your sponsor money for the penalty shoot-out competition and see you all again on Saturday for training, can't wait!

Well done to all four teams at the TTFC tournament. The u13s put in some good performances against Premier Div teams. The u12s also had a good day and the all TGFC semi final was played in an excellent spirit. Unlucky to the boys in the "blue" team for missing out on the trophy. I think we all agreed that Wilburn were the better team and deserved the win.
Unlucky u13s in the League Cup. Again the Prem Div opposition were strong and punished uncharacteristic mistakes. Still, let's get back to winning ways in the League next weekend.

Sky sports received a statement from Mr Bodimeade regarding the accusation from Mr Hill. Mr Bodimeade states that the dirty tackle on Mr Bodimeade by Mr Hill has been submited to the FA ,The FA will look at the tapes and if Mr Hill is found guilty of carer ending tackle on Mr Bodimeade he will be banned for life.

Football plunged in chaos. The last thing football needed right now after the Tevez affair was another unregistered player enquiry however the FA today confirmed that they are investigating last nights Dad's match in which Colin "I go down better than Drogba" Bodimeade's side rode its luck to record a rare (for Bodimeade) and narrow win. The FA confirmed that the paperwork had not gone through for one of Bodiemade's "ringers" and they will not repeat their mistakes made in handling the West Ham enquiry. The FA will be deducting points or in this case awarding last nights game to the opposition. Sheffield United are outraged at the decision meanwhile Bodimeade has been forced to recall his abusive text messages sent to one of the opposition players after the game last night. Steve Hill, usually quiet and timid and one always to shun publicity made a rare statement "It's a shame that on the eve of the Club World Cup Tournament this will cast a shadow over everything, mind you when Colin and Brett stand together its like an eclipse is going on. Cheating though is cheating."

Thank You to everyone who managed to get to Romford last night for what turned out to be a fantastic evening. We raised loads of cash for the club which, as ever, will benefit the boys and we have a stack of complimentary tickets to go back to Romford during the Summer. I'll distribute these on Saturday.
Special thanks to Amy from Sporting Leagues who organised the evening and Sheila from Romford Stadium for looking after us. And a very special mention to Nicola Williams who sold loads of tickets (beating me in the competition we had) and got to present the winning owner with the trophy for the big race.
We also now have yet another trophy for winning the Sporting League - I'll bring that along Saturday as well.

Kieran became the fourth Under 12's player to break something this year when last week in a School game, he was in goal and broke his finger in a collison with Ashley K. Sporting a metal cast around his finger Kiearn aka "Barry Scott" and "chopper" still joined in at training on Saturday and said he will play in this Saturday's club World Cup tournament. The latest injury has made up the mind of the Committee who have signed up to an improved insurance plan for the Club which covers breaks. Kieran is the latest player to have broken something this year following on from Ash K (arm), George H (finger) and currently David (wrist). Get well soon Kieran from us all at TGFC.

With all of the excitement on Sunday, not all of you got your registration forms for next season. Sorry. I will post these out to you - or deliver, wherever possible. I will also bring forms along to our last training session on Saturday 30th June - though this will give you a week to get your forms/photos and cheques back. We need 2 x passport size photographs of each player plus a cheque for your signing on fee (this can be post dated if need be). All the completed forms and documents need to be back for the World Cup tournament on Saturday 7th July.

Great tournament lads! Short of key players Conor, Kieran, Kyran and David, we called up CJ, Josh, Harry and Michael into the seniors and they all did very well - CJ's saves got us through the knock outs, Josh's goals were superb while Harry and Michael put in some great midfield performances. The "reds" topped their group winning 3 and drawing one. They did not concede a goal until the flukey one that put us out in the quater final. George S's goal from inside his own half and some superb passing and movement were the highlights for me. While the "blues" deserved their Cup final place, CJ, Ashley K and Ashley B were all in outstanding form. However, all our players on both our teams played very well.
Our support was fantastic on the line in front of the Chapman enclosure. Nicola did some excellent work scoring the games for the "reds" while Colin kept forgetting to carry the one for the "blues" - Colin quote at the results tent "I think they've screwed that up...they've got us down as won 3 and drawn 1." No Col, that was the "reds" results not the "blues" results, you donut - came the response.
Our record at the LTD topurnament is pretty impressive, quarter finalists, semi finalists and twice finalists - third time lucky next season?
Finally, a quick word of thanks to LTD, Chris and Katie in particular, who put together a top quality, well organised tournament that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

This is going to be our biggest World Cup tournament ever!
We have had loads of players confirming their availibility already.
Please can all playing parents and guests ensure they have confirmed they are playing to Steve or David before close on Sunday 24th June.
Our TGFC players need not confirm.

Congratulations to the u12s for two magnificent efforts yesterday at the LTD tournament. An unlucky quarter final exit for the reds and a spirited performance in the final from the blues. The trophies and medals just keep coming at this club!!
Well done to the u11s for Saturday, the reds couldnt recover from the slow start but played brilliantly in the last 3 matches. The blues were desperately unlucky not to qualify for the quarter final. Special mention to Harry, Josh, CJ and Michael who did the u11s proud playing for the u12s on Sunday. Josh was deadly in front of goal, Harry showed some superb skill and passing in the midfield, CJ was awesome in goal and played a major role in winning two penalty shootouts, Michael eventually got his final after the disappointment with injury last year and showed some great touches in midfield.
Congrats to everyone, not forgetting Steve and Paul Wells, for a great weekend.

Echoing Steve's earlier comments ~ well done to all the boys that played in the recent LTD Tournament. A special mention to Nick Wood, who played his last competitive game for TGFC, thanks for all those goals Nick! Also I would like to thank the four U11's boys (Josh, Michael, Harry & CJ) for helping us out in our hour of need, we couldn't have done as well as we did without you ~ it's obvious why you won the league this year, with the quality you all possess! A final word of thanks to all of the Red Team parents/friends that stayed behind to cheer on the Blue Team in the final. See you all at the World Cup tournament!

I wanted to equally thank all of the U12's for their kind words and appreciation shown towards both Steve and I by signing a card and for getting me the vouchers. We are proud at the way you have improved this year as players both in terms of your footballing ability and general behaviour. I hope you all enjoyed the recent Tour and presentation evening?
Also, well done to all of the winners of the individual prizes on Saturday and to everyone else in the team. If you don't get an individual prize this year, use it as motivation to go out and improve your game next year and who knows, you might win in 2008!
A final word for all of the supporters, family members and parents that have helped Steve and I coach and manage the team this year. I hope we can look forward to your support again in 2007/08?
