7 Apr 2008 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY THAMES GATEWAY

Thames Gateway FC celebrate our second birthday today - 7th April.

It is already two years since we formed the club and registered with the Essex FA.  In that two years we have gone from strength to strength both on and off the field.

On the field we have seen the u12s win promotion, reach a semi final last year and a Cup Final this year.  They are also challenging for the league title this year and have reached the quarter final of the pennant trophy.  The u13s had a strong finish to last season, finishing mid table.  They reached the final of the LTD tournament in the Summer, won the fair play award on the club tour to Clacton, won 13 games in a row to lead the league this season and are well placed to win both promotion and the title itself.

Off the field with the generous help of our sponsors we have provided new kits, tracksuits, club jackets, club bags excellent training and playing facilities, been on one tour to Clacton and are off on tour again this season.  And thanks to the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation the boys will enjoy the tour this year for free!

We have also held Club presentation and fun days with bigger and better events planned for this year.  And dont forget the superb weekly Newsletter and this top quality website.  We may be a small club but we know all our players and supporters agree THAMES GATEWAY FC is the best!
