TGFC would like to send our very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Dave Chapman (aka Thamesetta) who managed to crack a rib whilst attempting a sensational overhead kick in Saturday's Dad's match.

Dave was unavailable for comment but his self appointed Spokesman, Mr Lee Moss said "he's only got himself to blame, honestly what did he think he was doing?  He's no spring chicken anymore and he didn't even connect properly with the ball, let alone get the shot on target"

TGFC's qualified Emergency Aid Officer, Steve Hill added "it was a nasty injury and Dave will certainly not be playing for a while.  The judges gave him 6.4 for the triple salko with pike and twist, the groundsman also thanked him for flattening out 2 square yards of the pitch"
