Welcome to the THAMES GATEWAY FC web site.
These web pages are dedicated to the players and supporters of THAMES GATEWAY FC - a great family club based in Essex.
On this site you will find out all about the club, including details of fixtures, previous match results, achievements and lots, lots more.
There is a message board where you can tell us what you think and a Club News page which will help you keep up to date with all the exciting events as they happen.

THAMES GATEWAY FC is a small friendly club with two teams - playing at U13 and U14.
The teams have been together for 6 seasons now but in 2006 we established THAMES GATEWAY FC as a club in its own right.

Our aim is to provide our players with a safe and fun environment in which to enjoy playing football.
We enjoy fantastic support from the players' parents who all work hard to make the club a success both on and off the field.

 

Thanks to generous sponsorship, from a number of companies, we have been able to provide brand new kits for our teams and high quality training equipment.  We have a unique rolling monthly sponsorship deal with RPS Business Development and have received generous donations from 1st Response Tool Hire and the Island Cafe. This will provide a secure future for the club, which is great for everyone concerned.

THAMES GATEWAY FC pride ourselves on being a well run club that, whilst always competitive, enjoys playing football in a friendly and sporting manner.  Players are expected to train hard, play fair and take pride in our club. In return the club ensures that every penny raised in sponsorship or through awards and grants is used for the sole purpose of improving the facilities for our teams.

All club matters are managed by our Committee which is elected annually at our AGM.
We always aim to minimise bureaucracy but do have a few simple, common sense rules by which we run the club. These are captured in our Club Charter which every player has signed up to.

The Committee consists of:

• UNDER 13 COACH - Kevin Taylor
• UNDER 14 MANAGER - Steve Hill

The club is affiliated to the Essex FA and play in the Thundermite Youth Football League and the Chelmsford Youth Football League.

Results on the field have been superb with the current u13s having won promotion in 2007 and the Thundermite League Cup in 2008.  The boys have also reached several semi finals and finals of League and Tournament competitions.  The current u14s won promotion in 2008 and have also been finalists and semi finalists in several tournaments.

There is a friendly atmosphere about the club and we emphasise having fun.  We are usually on the look out for new players so if you are interested in joining us please email the club.  Leave us a contact number and we will arrange a trial, informally as part of a team training session, to give you a chance to meet the other players and find out more about us.
